Each Hawaiian Sunrise Shell is one of a kind. Sunrise shells are endemic to Hawaiian Waters and cannot be found in any other part of the world. Live specimens are only found in waters 300-600 feet below the surface so most shells are found after storms when empty shells are washed into shallower waters. Because of their rarity and brilliant colors Sunrise shells are the perfect piece of Hawaii to take with you wherever you go.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Care instructions

Most of my listings include a tarnish resistant wire for the sake of keeping our Beachy treasures inexpensive and well.. Beachy! Please keep in mind that tarnish resistant pieces will fade over time the more you expose it to water. Same rule goes for Plated silver and Gold Filled although they take more time. For me I like the way my jewelry looks a little more worn that way but if you'd like to keep it in selling condition please avoid contact with water.

Where does the Seaglass come from?

All of my seaglass is found on Oahu, Hawaii or the Big Island of Hawaii. Each piece was found by myself or my friends and each one is irreplaceable. Because of the isolated nature of the Hawaiian Islands, red, dark blues, purples and yellows are very rare but not impossible to come across.

GORGEOUS! I’m obsessed. Haven’t taken it off since it came, and anxiously watched its amazingly fast shipping. Birdie shipped it the same day I purchased and I received it in 4 days from HI to OR. Packaged beautifully and the necklace didn’t disappoint. My pics don’t do it justice. It’s so beautiful and unique with the red bead at the bottom. While it looks really delicate, it’s surprisingly easy to wear, doesn’t tangle, etc. Major score at this price! We were just in Maui and didn’t find sunrise shell jewelry for less than $90. Try finding a sunrise shell on a Hawaiian shore, I dare you! Near impossible. It’s a treasure. Thank you, Birdie, for sharing this gorgeous piece of your island with me!! It’s precious and I love it! Will buy again!
