ALL Seaglass used in SeafoamFinds jewelry was found by hand in Hawaiian waters. Most jewelers choose to use glass tumbled in machines because it is a fast and effective way to get mass amounts of rare colors and perfect shapes. I choose to use all natural ocean tumbled glass for two reasons. Firstly, the distinct frost on the glass from the salt water is much prettier creating tiny Cresents. Second, these pieces have character and history. Each piece is rolled an average of at least 30 years to have its frosty look and reds, purples, and uranium pieces each have unique origins that can usually be traced. Most red pieces come from old glass buoys while some dark black to purple pieces I've found come from old lightbulbs with a signature shape and notch. Don't be afraid to ask your jeweler where they get their Seaglass. -

Care instructions
Most of my listings include a tarnish resistant wire for the sake of keeping our Beachy treasures inexpensive and well.. Beachy! Please keep in mind that tarnish resistant pieces will fade over time the more you expose it to water. Same rule goes for Plated silver and Gold Filled although they take more time. For me I like the way my jewelry looks a little more worn that way but if you'd like to keep it in selling condition please avoid contact with water.
Where does the Seaglass come from?
All of my seaglass is found on Oahu, Hawaii or the Big Island of Hawaii. Each piece was found by myself or my friends and each one is irreplaceable. Because of the isolated nature of the Hawaiian Islands, red, dark blues, purples and yellows are very rare but not impossible to come across.
